A saltwater crocodile was captured in an unusual scene, with only its snout visible as it glided through the ocean. Although it’s relatively common for these reptiles to leave rivers and swim in open waters, sightings like this remain remarkable.

David White, the photographer behind the image, described the moment to Yahoo News Australia:
“It was a beautiful light, and the crocodile was swimming out of a creek toward the ocean, with waves breaking over its head. It’s something that happens around here, but it’s always fascinating to witness.”
During the interview, White took the opportunity to debunk the negative image often associated with crocodiles, which are frequently labeled as “killing machines.”
“There’s a lot of misinformation about these animals,” he noted. “They don’t pose a threat just by being nearby. Walking on the beach, for example, is not something that puts you at risk.”
The behavior of these crocodiles in coastal areas highlights the importance of understanding and respecting their natural habitat rather than fearing them.
