Aiming to establish itself as a top global luxury destination, Saudi Arabia has unveiled the first phase of a major tourism project in the Red Sea. The new Sindalah Island, covering 840,000 square meters, was inaugurated on September 27, promising unique and exclusive experiences. According to forecasts by the NEOM project, the island is expected to host 2,400 visitors daily and create around 3,500 jobs by 2028.
One of the main attractions is the island’s marina, designed for those seeking high-end maritime adventures. It offers 86 berths for yachts up to 50 meters long, along with 75 spaces for superyachts, allowing them to dock around the island.
Diving activities in the Red Sea are conducted with a strong emphasis on sustainability and marine preservation. Project leaders ensure that protection, regeneration, and preservation of local species are at the core of all operations. Sindalah boasts unique biodiversity, with 45 exclusive species and over 300 varieties of coral. Visitors can also observe dolphins in the area, enhancing the experience of connecting with marine life.
The island provides a wide range of high-end entertainment and services: 36 luxury stores, vibrant restaurants, musical experiences, sophisticated accommodations, an exclusive beach club, and a nine-hole golf course for sports enthusiasts. Sindalah’s cuisine is crafted by renowned Italian chef Enrico Bartolini, who holds 13 Michelin stars, ensuring a refined dining experience at the yacht club restaurant.
