Payment and Cancellation Terms
The following payment and cancellation terms are part of our Booking Conditions, which come into effect when we confirm your booking.
The payment and cancellation terms depend on the fare plan under which your booking was made.
The ‘Standard Rate’ is our retail rate (with or without discounts); the ‘Master Saver Rate’ is no longer available for new bookings. However, the cancellation terms outlined below apply to existing bookings made under the Master Saver Rate payment terms.
Payment Terms
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, with payment details confirmed by Master Liveaboards in your booking confirmation, payments must be made within the following deadlines:
Standard Rate*
- If the booking was made more than 360 days before departure: 5% of the total invoice amount.
- If the booking was made between 360 and 61 days before departure: 30% of the total invoice amount.
- If the booking was made 60 days or less before departure: 100% of the total invoice amount.
- The Standard Rate does not apply to Bikini Atoll bookings. Please see the payment terms for Bikini Atoll below. All payments are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to unrelated bookings.
Bikini Atoll Bookings
- If the booking was made more than 548 days before departure: 15% of the total invoice amount.
- If the booking was made between 548 and 61 days before departure: 50% of the total invoice amount.
- If the booking was made 60 days or less before departure: 100% of the total invoice amount.
- All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation Terms
As we incur costs when canceling your arrangements at your request, unless specifically agreed otherwise, with details confirmed by Master Liveaboards in your booking confirmation, you will need to pay the following cancellation fees:
Standard Rate
- If notification is given more than 360 days before departure: 5% of the total invoice amount (or the deposit paid, whichever is greater).*
- If notification is given between 360 and 61 days before departure: 30% of the total invoice amount (or the deposit paid, whichever is greater).
- If notification is given 60 days or less before departure: Up to 100% of the total invoice amount.
- If canceled more than 360 days before departure, we will honor the retained 5% deposit as credit that can be used toward a new booking made within the next 12 months. This does not apply to Bikini Atoll bookings.
Certain arrangements provided (such as domestic flights, hotels, tours, and transfers, etc.) may not be modified or transferred after confirmation, and any change may incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of that portion of the arrangements by the provider.
Bikini Atoll Bookings
- If notification is given more than 548 days before departure: 15% of the total invoice amount (or the deposit paid, whichever is greater).*
- If notification is given between 548 and 61 days before departure: 50% of the total invoice amount (or the deposit paid, whichever is greater).
- If notification is given 60 days or less before departure: Up to 100% of the total invoice amount.
- If canceled more than 548 days before the departure date, the 15% deposit will be forfeited, and no credit will be issued.
Certain arrangements provided (such as domestic flights, hotels, tours, and transfers, etc.) may not be modified or transferred after confirmation, and any change may incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of that portion of the arrangements by the provider.
Master Saver Rate
- At any time between confirmation and departure: Up to 100% of the total invoice amount.
- If notified more than 60 days before departure: Bookings can be transferred to another trip on any Master Liveaboards vessel without fees.*
Changing or Transferring Bookings
Regarding changes to dates, individuals on the booking, or transferring the booking to another party:
Standard Rate
The terms will apply as per Section 9 of our Booking Terms and Conditions.
NOTE: When an existing booking is modified, and the departure dates are postponed, we reserve the right to retain any deposits already paid against the modified booking, with no cash refunds issued. All retained deposits will be honored against the modified booking.
Master Saver Rate
If you wish to modify any part of your booking after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible. This must be done by the first named person on the booking.
While we will do our best to assist, we cannot always guarantee that we can accommodate the requested change, depending on our occupancy and operational schedule. When we can accommodate a request, all changes will be made without change fees up to 60 days before departure for the first modification. If further changes to dates or vessels are made, a fee of USD 50 per person will be charged.
- If you wish to change dates or vessels, the new date must be equal to or later than the initial booking date. Any price increase over the original booking value will be added to the modified booking.
